Holiday Problems - Advice Required

Any advice on the following would be greatly appreciated.
I took a packge holiday to Orlando, FL last year.
On arrival at the airport at Orlando the companys represenatative failed to turn up to meet us and we were left to fend for ourselves. As we had been to Florida before this was not a great hardship but annoying non the less. In addition we missed on the wecome pack and meeting etc.
In addition to the reps no show we had loads of problems (including security issues with our accomodation) at our accomodation which we had to sort out because we had no rep to assist.
Since returning we have numerous corrospondance has gone back and forward which has resulted in the travel company and the hotel calling us liars and that they have no record of us having a problem at the accomodation and that we were met and recived a welcome pack.
Normally I know you have to lodge a complaint with the rep in resort prior to complaining on your return but obviously this was not possible.
So the main question is there anything I can do? I have no evidence because it is impossible to prove that someone did not turn up to meet us and the accomodation has washed there hands of the situation also.

Which holiday company was it? Was it one of the major tour operators?
Was the rep never there? Was there not a contact number on the reps board for the resort office?
I used to be a holiday rep and if there was any units that we didnt frequent often, there was an emergency contact number to call and every board had the resort office number,=.0 -
Hi OlliesDad
It was an Airtours holiday.
No the Rep was never on site. Apparantly if I needed help I had to contact them but as we had no contact details this was not possible.
No notices boards for the tour companies I think this was because we were on a 'Condo' type resort with the majority of the clients American.0
