Have just got a new laptop using Vista and when clicking on email links would like them to go into my Hotmail email. Can anyone give me easy step by step instructions. Ive looked myself and it seems I may have to download another program but if theres a simpler way would be grateful if you could let me know. TIA

I'm not sure that hotmail can be read vis outlook express or similar these days? Yahoo certainly can.
Surely hotmail is a web based interface only unless you can pay for access??0 -
go to control panel -default program - set default programs - click on the one you want and set as default0

If you have outlook (not express) have a look at this http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HA102225181033.aspx0

The only ways I can think of to set Hotmail as default in Vista would be to either Outlook (if you have Outlook) with the Connector plug in or download Windows live mail email client and set that as your default email program.
Or try this solution: http://email.about.com/cs/hotmailtips/qt/et032401.htm0 -
Ive managed to set something up but not sure what. On my main pc (windows xp) when I clicked on a link it took me straight into my Hotmail account all ready for me to add the text, I had set my name and address as my signature which came in very handy. However now when I click on a link it takes me to a rectangular email box and does have the link in the To line but is not actually my Hotmail, having said that when I press send it does go out of my Hotmail account and is then in my sent box. So Ive no idea what ive done but my next question is how can I set up my details as a signature in this box. Could this be connected to Outlook as my laptop definitely has MS Outlook.
