Vodafone Contracts whilst on tour

Has anybody with a Vodafone contract phone been allowed to suspend their contract for 6 months while on deployment. I know Orange have done it before but not Vodafone.

PS: We have asked Vodafone but the adviser said they didnt, course it always depends who you speak to that particular day.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks for reminding me about that thread Alias.

Have just rang Vodafone and the guy I spoke to confirmed that Vodafone do do 'Contract Breaks'. He said that on return from a tour a headed letter from CO stating the dates person has been away for be sent to Vodafone. Vodafone will then credit the customer with 'x' amount of how many months you claimed for.

He did say that the phone should not be turned at all during this period other wise you wont get any money back AND if they refund 'x' amount of months those months will be adding onto your contract.

Win win for everyone I reckon. They dont miss out on custumers and we dont waste on services.
