Lead me not into temptation, I can find the way myself.

wins - peroni bottle opener, peroni bowl, peroni coastersx2 and a vodkat cocktail kit,

    Hi ba,

I fully understand your concern as an employee.

The Portman press machine is a pretty slick outfit, so I don't think we have to look further, do you?

I must confess that £650 per member was higher than I expected Sharpe would offer. But maybe it was made before the latest commercial loan mess.

Do you know when the offer was made?

By way of reassurance, I don't think it would be Portman's intention to close the Bolton branch, or any others. They are seeking is sales outlets in the North West, not thin air.

I see that the Portman offer was made in May 2005.

And yet the Cheshire board chose not to inform Cheshire members at the time and waited 11 months, only revealing the news after Portman had released it first.

Why did they deliberately keep members in the dark?

Anyway, the board has now, belatedly, told Portman to sod off in public - but too late for members to hear a balanced view before they vote at the 2006 AGM.

For any Cheshire members attending their AGM at Macclesfield on Tuesday 25th April at 5.30 p.m. , there is a surefire way of finding out what was said at the Portman AGM at Reading earlier in the day, so that you can question the Cheshire directors more closely.
