Ok, bear with me on this one but can I take a box of Crunchy Nut Cornflakes in my hand luggage to Lanzagrote...........?

My insides just go haywire without it or something similar a the mo and I'm loathe to pay 5 euros for a box when I'm there!

I've taken cereal with me abroad before and never had a problem. I have usually packed it in my case but it should be fine in hand luggage. I would take it. Worse case scenario they might take it from you at the airport, but it's worth a try!

I take a large bag of crisps in my hand luggage, so I don't see it being a problem.

It's liquids that they will not allow.

    Lanzerote is a lovely Island!

    Have a great hoilday.

You couldn't put it in the main suitcase in the hold just in case? Although i think that it should be fine

Taking it in the original box is not a good idea unless you like reading the back of cereal packets - put it in a tupperware type box.

Also consider how much space it will take up in your hand luggage which could be better used for more expensive / essential items. At worst the bag doesn't turn up and you have to spend €5 for a box which will be cheaper than trying to replace a set of trousers / shirt / underwear
  • I took a box of Farleys Rusk to the states, i had no issues taking them onboard.

They thought I was a cereal offender.

Yes. The only 'new' (2007) restrictions are on liquids.

Hiya, I would pack a sm box in your case if it is a must have. It is funny the diffrent things we all think are essential. Food wise I pack tea bags, coffee and a box of sugar cubes.
If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
    Spring begins on 21st March.
  • We went to Mallorca last saturday with Weetabix, Sugarpuffs, Ham, Cheese, Marg, Tea, Coffee & Sugar all in hand luggage, No probs at all. They just asked me to taste my Baby's Milk. No Probs at Manchester
