Hi, My goals for this week are:
1, To list my statement of affairs in the forum and get some valuable advice from the £saving gurus on the site!
2, To get a grip on my legal affairs that have been spiralling out of control after my recent divorce (starts with going to a free legal clinic on tuesday night)
3, To start trimming down and cutting back on what is probably a couple of hundred quid a month Im wasting on unecesarry stuff/not the best deals.
And to try and start taking control of my finances again :TLet's get debt free:j and help others with money saving ideas and tips;)0 -

Not taken part in this thread before so I'm going to set myself just a few goals for the week:
1) Make DH's packed lunch every day
2) Spend on nothing except essentials (milk etc)
3) Start some work on my childminding assignment (think it needs to be submitted by the 22nd!)
4) Start some decluttering and sorting out toys (everywhere!)

first time for me so here goes...
1)starting new job tomoz so allowing myself £10 for lunch ect see how it goes...
2)new job is lot closer to home so travel expenses should be less than £10
3) oh will try to get free parking at least 3 times this week. saves £2.80 a time
4) only buy milk and bread from supermarket. Use up freezer ect.
5) gonna have a look in chairty shops for some work clothes ect budget is max £20.
6) pay off at least £200 worth of debt by friday.
7)start saving £2 coins and save at least another £3 worth of 20p's
8) write letter about bank chareges and send.
9) start claim against lloyds for charges.
10) sort out wardrobe!!!
so ill be back next week with an update wish me luck im gonna need it!!!

These were my goal for last week starting 5/3/06
1) List items on eBay done!
2) Get to grips with Turbo Lister! Not done!
3) Try and have 3 or more “no spend” days (eBay parcels don’t count) Done!
4) Make at least one meal to freeze for another day Done! Got three meals in the freezer!
5) Do at least 3 hours of revision Not done
6) Take lunch to work everyday Done!
7) Only spend £3 or less at gig on Friday night Done! Only spent £1!!
8) Only spend £50 or less in Wales at the weekend (£30 for room) Done! Spent £45!
9) Take a lunch box of food for the drive to Wales on Saturday Done!
So my new goals for this week are-
1) Get to grips with Turbo Lister
2) Try and have 3 or more “no spend” days (ebay parcels don't count!)
3) Do at least 3 hours of revision
4) Take lunch to work every day
5) Got to go shopping in Brighton on Saturday with boyfriend’s mum and sister so try to only spend money on train fare £8 and lunch.
6) Got to go to a comedy night in Brighton for my friend’s 21st on Sunday night so try to only spend money on train fare £8, ticket £8.50 and a few drinks £8.

Get my BF to work out all his money Did this, found out he has PPI on his loan so wrote a letter to cancel that!
transfer money between accounts to make most of my interest free overdraft paid off my loan so its made a little dent in my od, will be reassessing this week!
start a plan for savings account done, found an ISA that i've got with Nationwide aand it had £35 in it!!
investigate what i have i can sell!Not done this
Did manage to get around to signing up to Quidco & trading in two old mobiles at envirophone!
Also last week managed to get my BFs mum to admit she needs to sort out their finances! Coz they are a mess, I will be helping her to use the snowball calculator as she aint to hot with computers!
This weeks targets are:

tidy my flat; its a complete tip!
go to the gym at least 3 times! (well i do spend a shed load on it)

I was working yesterday so I didn't manage to update my weekly challenges so here goes:
Last week:
2 no spend days - MANAGED ONLY 1 !
Pay £350 off cc's - YES I DONE THIS!
Do not buy lunch or snacks at work - CAN'T REMEMBER, I DON'T THINK I DID! MAYBE A BAR OF CHOCCY BUT THATS IT!
Look for budget holiday for the Summer - DONE, CORNWALL BOOKED AND PAID FOR.
Have another think and look at March budget to see if I can clear NEXT account - YES I'VE DONE THIS AT LAST!!
So all in all the most successful week so far. This week my challenges are:
Book an extra shift to work this weekend
Start really looking into and drafting a plan for my disseration
2 no spend days
Do not spend the £2 coin in my purse!
Perservere with DS2 potty training!
Won't be paying off anymore debts this week unfortunately will be able to next week though.

My goals for this week:
* Write to Council/Gas/Elec & Water to transfer the bills over into my housemates name (wanted to allow a couple of months as they can never get anything correct!!)
* Look into the best/cheapest travel insurance for trip & also look into vaccines.
* Sent off ebay items that have recently ended.
* Go to the gym lots (went last night & today - first time in AGES!!) - Australia + Fat-ness = Not a good look :0)
* Have 4 no spend days.
* Get 2 x Boots re-heeled, been putting it off for ages & keep skidding about on tube platform (not good!!)
* Find a cheap hairdresser to cut & colour hair before wedding in April - not going to be easy in London!!

Hi,
Haven't joined in before, so here goes.
For week commencing 13th March:
1. Make packed lunch for me & BF Monday-Friday
2. Go to step aerobics tonight even though my friend & gym partner is on holiday & am very tempted to stay at home in the warm!
3. Take an old building society book into the Halifax & withdraw money & close account
4. Book train ticket to visit my sis on her birthday in April (will cost £19 if I book now rather that £70 or so if I buy on the day)
5. Do meal plan for the next couple of weeks before I go food shopping on Thursday
Been kind to myself & only given myself 5 aims. Fingers crossed I can stick to them!0
