Student Loan.....

My son intended to go to Uni after A levels but the course he wants at the best Uni require him to do a foundation course locally. What support can ge get re loan etc. He is 18?

    I would check with your local education authority whether it is a course for which you can get the student loan or not. If not, let us know and there may be other suggestions.

    You can't get a loan to do an FE foundation course. You can get your fees paid by your LEA provided you do the course locally though. The course leader of your son's prospective course will be able to give you advice about what funding is available and help in applying for it.
