I doubt they read any of it
, they left as soon as they posted, as many do.

well i forgot to mention that, typing on the ps3 is a very laborious task! i accidentally left out one bit, was a simple mistake, you people, this is why this country is down the drain, quick to point the finger and let all hell loose.
All of you have said how this method may leave the op without a connection as i assumed they knew how to set up a router, but what are the other options, some of you assumed that they knew how to disable it through other settings, other than that, nobody has actually came up with any other ideas that the op would understand
Aside from that, many of the other ways also risk losing an internet connection.
Overall, my assumption that the fact that the op had an internet connection meant that either they or someone they know, knows how to set the router up isnt such a far fetched idea is it?
So either come up with some ideas to post or stop criticising others advice that works, even if it is not the only method.Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -
If they come back, then they'll get advice on how to deal with it. Don't take it personally, people were trying to help the OP, not criticise you.0

get a usb keyboard for it then instead of using the controller.
anyway, when the OP gets back on here, the MAC bit that you mention is MAC address filtering. on a netgear, you log into the router by clicking here (or here), and browse to wireless settings > click the setup access list and untick the box next to turn access control on & click apply at the bottom of the page0
