  • Hello all - I have been lurking in your thread and you all seem so nice. Would you mind if I join you? Technically I'm not paying loose change to debt, but I'll be using it so that I don't get in debt - my fiance and I have set our wedding date and our small change is topping up the wedding account.

What do you think? Can I, can I, can I?

Welcome to thread Pockets and congratulations on setting a date for the wedding! How exciting! Every time you bank some of the change let me know and I will add the total to the first page next to your name. Please post as much as you like, we are a friendly bunch and we are always pleased to see each other adding to our pots and it helps us to keep on track!

I'm being pretty rubbish at adding to my pot as I still can't go out as haven't got a new car yet, altho DH is going to look at some at the weekend hopefully. I managed to get some cash out yesterday, so if £10 is still in my purse next week I think I will just put it in my pot. I got £30 out so will put in £10 a week if I don't spend some of it first!

Well done Focus, Lesley and M2MG for adding to your pots, you are all doing really well!

  • Thanks for the warm welcome. Since I started saving my change a few months ago I've banked £87 and I have a jar full of coins at home which has around £13 in it - I'll do the proper total tomorrow (forgot my spreadsheet today). My change from lunch was £1.57, so I'm putting £1.07 in the pot and keeping the 50p to pay for my paper this evening.
