Hi to everyone who posted comments about my nephew and his 'throw away money.' I already save my loose change for my friend who supports an orphanage/school in Uganda by raising money for them and going out there for 2 weeks to work every 2 years. At the moment they are raising money for a girls dormitary because many of the girls have long walks from their villages and are often molested and worse on the way to school. Because I'm on a low income this is the only way I can do it. I don't really keep track of how much but would love to join the challenge. I will suggest to my nephew next time i look after him that he might like to join.

Angelaf, it will be lovely to have you and your nephew along. I will add your name to the first post, and when you have saved some change to give to your friend just let me know and I will put the amount next to your name. What a lovely thing to save your change for.

I put the 2 £2 coins in my little money bag and realised that I had quite a few £2 coins, so counted them and I have £20 worth! Yay! Have bagged them up and will put them in the bank asap. I WILL get out of debt.

Also, we are changing electricity provider and had a letter from the old one today to say that they owe us £98.99 so they are going to send us a cheque! Am going to put that straight onto the CC too.

Morning peeps, sorry for the lack of communication of late.

I counted my penny jar last night and  there isn't enough of any coin to bank. There's over £20 in there, but I'm not gonna call it until it's banked. Next month should be good though.:j

Leslie, I hope your work sorts themselves out soon, it must be really frustrating. Rosepink, nice one on the utilities refund! :j
    Every one else, "Howdy"!!

Hope everyone is having a good week. xx

I don't wish to appear mean, and I love a bit of chat as much as the next person, but we do need to keep on topic. If you want to chat can you please include something about loose change?

Speaking of which, DH let me go through his truck ash tray, which is where he keeps all his shrapnel, and he let me take out all the 1p's, 2p's and 5p's, so i now have another £6 to put in the bank next time I go, and my piggy bank looks healthier too! Yippeee!

    Hello

Well checked my atm and so far £36 ish pounds, but i was able to put £4 in over the weekend and i've got a lot of copper from the post office today so i can pop that in.

Been a bit slow on the change front.
