Hi All,
Me and my husband have been approved by ownhome had our funds allocated and have put an offer on a house which was accepted also out mortgage application has been approved all they needed to do was check over proof of id and proof of income the documentation was sent on Thurs.
First question how long will it take for the case owner to look over documentation and organise survey?
Second question am I meant to receive a letter from EA to say our offer has been accepted.?
Third question should I be organising home insurance now or just before completion?
And last one should I be doing anything with my solicitor or does he have to wait until survey is through.
Sorry for all the questions I am a first time buyer feeling a bit confused. If anyone could help that would be great.
Thank you

Re second question: yes, you should get a 'memorandum of sale' from the estate agent (with the details of your solicitor and the solicitor of the sellers).
Re third question: buildings insurance should be in place from exchange of contracts, not from completion. I would postpone shopping for insurance until after the survey, but wouldn't leave it to the day before exchange either....
Re fourth question: have your solicitor wait until the survey comes back. Anything he does will cost money and the result of the survey may mean that the sale will not go through.0
