Wickes Hardwood Conservatory

Ive just had a wickes hardwood norfolk conservatory donated from a neighbor, He was emigrating and desperate to clear his garage, Its only 2 years old and hasnt been assembled yet, still in the plastic wrap, Only thing is he has lost the instructions and there may be a few bits missing, Can anyone help with the instructions or does anyone out there work for Wickes.

Success, thanks to my Dad of all people, He suggested I ring Wickes and explain the situation, I did and “Well done Wickes”

The very co-operative lady who answered the phone offered to post me a full set of instructions, I did ask how much, the reply was no problem, no charge, it will be my pleasure.

Faith restored in customer services – At least as far as Wickes goes..

Moral of the story – Listen to your Dad and stick up for him, after all he stuck up for you.

    Hi Tempest
Used to do a lot of Wickes conservatories but havnt done one for about 5 years now. I,m assuming they're still the same so if you need any advice, post it her and i'll see if i can help.
Do you know if its a full height panel one or the type with the dwarf wall? Either way, you will need to dig and pour a footing before you do anything. Good luck.

    Hi Booty4uk,
Started digging the footings last weekend , told the wife it was the wrong time of year and to wait a month but no we had to make a start......
So friday marked out with the string lines, check the diagonals and measured it all again.
I have interpreted things correctly so far havent I in so far as the one line to get right is for the inside of outer course of brick (It is a dwarf wall model)..

So last Satdy sunk the spade into the ground and hit concrete, dug round the concrete in the rain that started as the first spade hit the soil.......
This Satdy dug all day and then took each little bucket to the local tip (10 buckets at a time as the local tip is just round the corner). Did so well and was oh so proud at 4pm knocked off and went for a pint. Boy did it rain , came back from the pub (1 pint later) and the sides had caved in.
Sunday , cleaned it all out , more trips, found a drain and a water pipe, went for a pint to contemplate what to do now, came back from the pub (1 pint later) and the sides had caved in again.

So any advice on how to deal with the drains and the water in pipe would be helpfull along with some new batteries for the wifes hearing aid.....
