Quick question about putting offer

After a long search got a house that ticks all important boxes.
The house is very reasonable priced and in an area we want.
But the condition of seller is that he likes another house and he will only sell his house if he gets that property. He will cancel sale if there is any problem in him buying that house...
Should i go ahead and put offer?
should I get survey etc done?
What if he pulls back?

I wouldn't be happy with that. You don't know what the position is of the person he is buying off and if they may have problems.
Fair enough if he was looking to move and would consider other properties, but it sounds too restrictive for me. Nothing to stop you putting an offer in,and not spending any money at this early stage, but I would be telling the EA that this is of concern, to you and possibily to anyone else that would be interested in his house.0 -

I'd tell EA you will offer only if the seller agrees to move to rented if he cannot buy the property after a set date. Otherwise there is no point offering because you actually do not know if the property is sale!0

I think you have an honest seller.
Plenty of sellers will say that they will move into rented then, after you have paid out for surveys etc, they change their mind and want you to hang on while they sort their purchase.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. this is what I mean. He can tell me, "I had found property with all ready and just waiting for getting offer on my property....".
There is no way to check? Is it?0 -

Estate Agent should be able to tell by contacting other estate agents in the chain. Your solicitor can find out from his solicitor, but you may not want to appoint a solicitor yet.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. If I did make an offer, I'd give evidence I was serious but then say I wasn't going to spend any money at all until the other purchase really wasn't happening. If they weren't happy with that, I'd tell them to b*g off, cos they're not real sellers and they're just mucking you about.Mortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600Overpayments to date: £3000June grocery challenge: 400/6000
