  • three weeks later and still waiting for £100 deposit back from hlc....
  • I was conned by them too, do you feel you were mis-sold the course, and if so how? I feel I was and needing as many as I can to back me with this, I have taken my complaint to trading standards.

It is unfortunate that it happens to you, but I guess there is a lesson to be learnt here by this experience. And it makes us members here to be aware of such predicament also and be able to avoid it.

    hi
the same thing happened to me and im fuming. i am paying £1500 for a course i cant do so want to transfer courses but they want to charge me £108 even though its cheaper than the one i was originally doin. also they want me to send back the books myself which will be expensive coz their heavy. are they just conning me? who can i go to to sort it out. why do they need so much to transfer when all they sending is new books. i cant believe people are getting conned like this.
  • I have called Consumer Direct regarding HLC and am now awaiting a call back from Trading Standards.

There are many errors in the AAT course books. They have self test questions in the books, and then you get the answers of their virtual learning community, however, there is no guarantee that the answers are actually correct as there have been so many errors.

I submitted my first assignment and when I got it back I got 100% and was really pleased, until I went to have a look at it, and noticed big red crosses through 5 of the answers (there were 27 questions) so how did I get 100%??

Just wondered how anyone else got on with Trading Standards and Citizens advice?
  • Hi i paid £1800 for a dreamweaver and flash web design course. I started paying £75 a month from last april and i finished the course months ago but ive still got to pay it off until next april.
They are so expensive and i wish i had fount another company to train with.
I didnt like the fact that someone has to come round your house and pretty much force you into it. I never even heard from my tutor until i emailed him to find something out months after i started the course.
I dont think you learn enough for that sort of price really.
I would never use them again
