I have just recieved an email regarding a playtrade refund. I sold a dvd and now the guy wants a refund because his mate is going to give him a copy for free. I have refused as there was nothing wrong with the product i sold him. Which isnt the only thing as he has not even returned said item back to me

Boo annoying not sure if Playtrade like Paypal if so they might say he has to return the item to you and get a refund after that. Bit unfair if their is nothing wrong with it, cross my fingers for you it wont happen that way.No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T0 -
Tell him to GTF.They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0

What a muppet.
The only thing you need to be careful of is if he leaves a neg. Very few people seem to leave feedback on Playtrade - I've sold several items but only had 3 feedbacks - then some bloke in Poland left me a neg and I've not sold anything on there since.0 -
Check the rules on Playtrade carefully, if that had been an Amazon sale the buyer would have a right to a refund on safe return, the same would apply to a business seller on ebay as catmiaow says.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Is that the rules on Play? On Amazon it is much longer, in fact many of us feel it is almost silly as they allow 30 days I think.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. It is the LAW (distance selling regulations) to accept any item back in its original condition (sealed if it was sealed when you sent it) within 7 days of receipt.
Of course, you need to get this back first and examine the item and only then do you issue the refund. Be careful with DVD's/CD's nowadays as it is too easy for a customer to open any item, copy it then send it back with an excuse like this so if it leaves you sealed but comes back unsealed you have every right to refuse a refund within 7 days or not.0 -
I beleive its only 'THE LAW' if you are a business seller and not a private one?2 angels in heaven :A0

Yep that's right.
I find a lot of people who quote 'THE LAW' actually are quoting a convoluted version of the law.:j30/7/10:j

I have been far too busy lately to come on here but come on now and saw your reply.
As far as a marketplace goes you ARE a business. As far as customers are concerned you are supplying goods so you are a shop.0
