Funding for a conference

I am just finished my Phd and have to present a paper in a conference but I donot have money to registration fee( £520). My department is not helping since I am no more a student. I havenot found a job yet to sponser myself. No other organiztion will give me money since I university will not give me support letter.
Is there any other source of funding available for conferences
Many Thanks
Uzma

If you have been invited to present at a conference then quite often you won't need to register or pay a fee. I'd contact organisers to confirm this.

Why won't your university/PhD supervisor give you a letter of support?

there are some grants but they will be very dependent on your field.... tbh, your supervisor may be the best person to ask as the grants available to students/postdocs often need letters of support from them to be able to apply.

i agree with milkybars - i don't understand why will your department will not give you a letter of support... do you have some possible grants identified already then?

The OP reads to me like it's written by someone whose first language is not English.

I'm astonished that any conference would have such a high fee merely to register. Most academic conferences offer bursaries to those who are students / not yet employed. Is that not the case here?

I have already mentioned that since I have finished my Phd therefore department feels no liability to fund me. Unfortunately this conference doesnot offer any funding or burseries, I have already tried and asked. My area is ICT. Usually funding sources are for current students therefore support letter from supervispr will not be of any help. He will give me if a funding source doesnt require this condition. I cant find anyone therefore I have contacted this forum.
    Please some constructive suggestions.
