    We went with my mother for her 80th recently to the carvery in the Slieve Donard..... amazing. Seriously.

    Probably too late now, but there was a similar thread a few weeks ago with some good suggestions.

    Upstairs at Joes's in Cushendall is excellent.

    Many many thanks for all the replies. Looks like I'll have a lot of places to try out now (besides the birthday party).

    We have a couple of weeks before the big day, so some time to ponder where to go.
