A case for the prosecution!

A Case for the Prosecution ! This is the true story of a care package taken out from EON and from January till April no hot water and or heating. 7 visits from 6 Eon Engineers 1 senior manager, Local Engineer who is trained in boiler repairs for our model. Admission of Liability, Cold Congregation in the "Bleak Midwinter snow on snow etc "Sounds like something out of a Pantomime or Charles Dickens but wait we have to give Dr Paul Golby Chairman of Eon UK an opportunity to pay compensation for breach of terms and conditions as EON continued to take our monthly fee and in fairness we must await Eon response before we meet in Court. Even Priests have a heart! Watch this space for developments Fr Anthony

  • Hi Folks Just to update you went to Court Eon employed no less a Barrister to tell the judge we had cancelled the contract on their care package Well we brought our bank statements to show we were bank up to date LIE ONE He then suggested Terms and Condition applied Not so the Judge says a contract is a contract signed or verbal Won the Case with Fees and Damages. Eon very bad company to deal with mind you from our experience BG is worse Fr Anthony

    Hi guys,

I don’t think there is too much I can add to this thread.

As forum regulars know, I am here in a customer service capacity but I do have my limits.

As this case has gone through the courts, I expect it’s very complex and detailed. I’m just glad this appears to have come to an end for the OP.

    Malc :)

Now that will cost them a small fortune. A barrister doesn't come cheap. Their costs will probably be a few thousand on this one, and that's before they've paid anything out to you as a result of your success in court.

It is a good example of the common man against the system. Even up against a fully trained pro, if you are in the right, you do stand a good chance of winning. A judge will see through the legal waffle.
