Glad you got your bargainous cardies, Cinny! And good that your family are seeing the perks too now :)

It's chaos in London! I'm meant to be going up tomorrow to meet my brother but I'm definitely postponing! It just seems crazy that they're 'allowed' to strike - I know everybody would like a 5% payrise and no redundancies, but not everybody can hold London to ransom to do so! Blimey, I didn't know I felt so strongly about that...

Hope it eases up for you soon Wendz!

In this climate I don't think anyone should be pushing for a payrise, be grateful to keep your job.

I know what you mean poddle! I dont live in London, but can imagine how fustrating it must be!
I think in the current economic climate people should be a bit more grateful that they actually have a job!

ETA: Just read an online article, those on strike have said "we fully expect to be supported by all those in London" - oh yes im sure they all really appreciate their day being made ten times more stressful!

Tete!!! How was the land of the French?

It is silly them having a strike (down right annoying actually) but what can you do? Like Poddle said, they have the power really!

Hello Tete! Bonjour! Comment t'allez vous? Was Paris fantastique?!
And I totally agree about how silly it is to be striking at the moment; people should be happy they have a job and not rocking the boat in the hope of more money, which is mad in this climate! I doubt I'll be getting my annual payrise this year and I don't care because I've still got a job!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

OK I'll catch up later, got a doc's appt in a couple of hours anyway..!

Paree was lovely but very very wet so TBH I feel a bit cheated that we didn't get to do all things we wanted. We spent about 4 hours in total doing the Eiffel Tower and when we finally got to the top the rain had come in so much we couldn't see a thing and just wanted to get down anyway :( And we ended up having to waste a whole afternoon schlepping round a shopping centre rather than picnic-ing in the park as I'd planned. It was disappointing what with it being June and everything, but we did see a lot and the first day was lovely. Oh and Lara, our hotel was horrible too, nothing like the website!! Well not horrible but not nice either! I think you really have to spend to get a nice place in Paris. Oh well, we'll just have to go again :)

Came back with about E100 of my spending money though so that was good, and I'm all fired up for a bit of moneymaking... How is everyone? I see from FB Cinny's sorted a stall, have I missed anything else major?!
