Make a note of your oral conversationand then make sure you get it in writing and preferably signed.
  • But even if you get it in writing and the seller doesn't do what he says it isn't usually worth pursuing, because the cost of doing so will more than the cost of getting rid of the stuff..

Moral is to try to get to the proeprty while the seller is still moving out and check whether he has got rid of the junk - "You are going to get rid of that stuff aren't you?" - and before your solicitor has sent the money so your solicitor can hold back some money if he doesn't. Once the money has been paid and the seller has gone it is more difficult to do much about it.

Well i'll have to see if I can get round for then.

I put an offer in stating that the sold board must go up within 48 hours.

The EA said they dont put up sold boards until the buyer has had the survey done.

    Is this fair of them?

As part of the process the sellers should have to fill in a form to indicate what they are taking and what they are leaving, so you should have an opportunity to check this prior to the exchange of contracts.

    Sounds fair to me.

After all would you sign to say you will not view or look at any other house?
