HP Laserjet P1005 or Brother HL-2035?

I'm spending too much on Canon cartridges and have decided to get a cheap laser printer for general b/w printing. I'm looking for reasonable quality and low cost per copy.

These two seem to fit the bill - is there anything to choose between them?

Any views/experiences appreciated.

  • I bought the brother 2035 about 2 months ago from Argos and am very happy with it.

Its fast, and quiet, and I buy my toner off the internet - its about £9 a bottle.

    Hope this helps

Personally I'd go for the HP. We have one of those HP's at work and its pretty good and we always use HP printers and have never had any faults with them. Brother I tend to think are a cheaper make but might be already but never tried.

    Thanks for your replies.

I like the idea of refilling the cartridge with a cheap bottle of toner. Is that a straightforward/easy option?
