looks fantastic and those views at night with a glass of wine and sunsets amazing, it will be superb and try not worry to much about flight as it will be fine xxxx
... T--J I hope you have a lovely holiday it looks lovely xx... TJ, well done on taking the plunge, it will be fine and if anyone can't see that you are a loving family taking a holiday, who just happen to have a handicapped son, then they seriously don't deserve to be human, if he plays up on the flight then so be it. My cousin who is 4 years younger than me has severe Cerebral Palsy and is also by a cruel twist of fate profoundly deaf so his "noises" can be disturbing to the least sometimes but my Aunt and Uncle and my other Cousin, their non handicapped daughter always without fail went abroad for their holidays and if people were incomfortable with it, it was there problem, not the family's. Have a fantastic time hun and think about enjoying yourselves, not what other people are thinking. xxxxxxxx
16 years down the line, we're well used to going along in our own merry way and ignoring any ignorance too but we've never been stuck in a confined space with nowhere to escape to before so it's a bit of a scary prospect!
We've been lucky because my mum & step-dad used to look after him for me, hubby and our youngest to have some 'normal time' but it had to end as he got bigger and they got older. He'd always come with us on UK and northern European holidays but in 2007 my mum broke her ankle so we booked our first 'summer' holiday with him and drove to Cognac in mid-France. The weather was absolutely carp but I've still got special memories of it, probably because it was our first 'proper' holiday abroad with him.
My craving for the sun led us to drive down to Spain last year but it was such a long trek (48 hours from door to door!) with almost constant traffic jams that we couldn't face it again this year - we figured 2½ hours of intense hell must be better than 48 hours of long drawn out hell! :rotfl:
I'd love to take him to Florida but we figured it would be best to see how we cope on a short-haul flight first.2017 Wins: £200 (Total since 2008: £43,827!)Best wins: £5000 with ITV , Trips to New York fashion week/Malta/Lake Como/Paris/London/St Mellion spa, iPhones, iPad, TVs, vouchers
May-Oct: 0 Nov: £200.100 -
