got to disagree with going to papers, for the time being anyway, this can make matters worse, esp if you still have a meeting to go to, you will need to know what you are going to say and say it calmly, do your homework, list down exactly why and back it up if you can

more info here, dont know if you have seen it or not?

if the meeting is then unsucessful, then that would be the time to go to the papers etc and get something done about it

    lovely dress :T

Are you wearing, jacket shawl? I would get nice shawl out of debenhams or somewhere to wear during day and then at night take it off.
I am looking for a silver wrap, the dress came from debenhams

TMK - Sorry I don't have any useful advice beyond make sure you have all your points written down so you remember to say everything that you want to say. I really hope it gets sorted out for you.

Cathy - love the dress. It's a lovely colour and will look stunning.

Just noticed it is my 1000th post!!

PP I could kiss you if I could get my lips to stretch far enough :rotfl::rotfl:I've been trawling the internet for days and never came across that - thank you so much! We thought originally that whichever way we turned we were hitting our heads against a brick wall. But today I found out that if the absolute worst came, we would be able to home school her. I thought that in Scotland you had to ask the ed auth for permission to home-school (which can take up to 17 months to get!!!), to remove your child from their authority. But apparently there is an anomaly in the law which states that if your child has never entered the ed auth's care you don't need to get their permission to remove them. So if we have absolutely no luck at the appeal committee we can home-school her until a place comes free at her chosen school. Apparently she is 4th on the waiting list  According to the papers that arrived today, 5 children with siblings at that school have been refused a place . That means another 4 families possibly are in the same boat as us. Just wish I could speak to them.
