The Compers Inn - Part 17

might be starting a debate here and not sure whether I am the only one that thinks this but....the IWIWIW section - yeah its good to be able to post winnings and say thanks to the original poster etc but recently it feels like the section is starting debates - like people entering comps for things they wouldnt use, or offering the prizes as they cant use them etc. Why not merge the IWIWIW with the gameover section? Or instead of creating I won suchathing thread tagging it onto the end of the gameover post for the comp. It also sometimes appears like some people just use the IWIWIW section to get their post count and thanks count up
Sometimes I think the section is great and should be there and other times I dont:D lol:D
Right, thats me backing off, everything off my chest now
I like the IWIWIW section as its nice to see people winning but it does make me laugh how some people go through all the posts saying well done & its obvious they're not paying attention because they will say well done even if its a post saying 'i've not recieved my prize' or 'why aren't I winning'.... I don't see the fuss about post count personallyI wil shut up now because I'm in a very opinionated mood today:rotfl:
Thanks to everyone that posts :T:money:

If people are posting on IW thread, then it would be discouraging not to have any response at all. I think the thread is really good because it puts those genuine competitions that pay off in the spotlight, and also because it is nice to share and acknowledge that we do benefit from this site. I would feel put off posting though if my post was to generate a moral debate. I am sure many winners would rather just enjoy their win and keep it to themselves and sometimes I understand that. I think we should leave it to the prize sponsors to decide ...obviously all competitions have terms and conditions.0

I noticed the same thing. I'm glad IWIWIW is there as it gives me faith that people win and I like to thank people where it's due too.0 -
