As you would know better than I, there is sometimes cleaning materials/equipment, light bulbs etc for use of the caretaker or cleaner. Certainly that was the case in a large block where I owned a flat in London.
Apart from that it was where the caretaker entertained his various lady friends!0 -
I would have thought that's illegal - a fire door must always be unlocked in case people have to go through it - it's designed to slow down a fire and try and keep it on one side of the door.sacsquacco wrote: »<snip>

Yes . people store all sorts in them, bikes, push chairs, should nt be there tho, its only a convenience for the cleaners to keep their stuff there, not an official cleaning cupboard storeroom. there s other places around in big buildings for that stuff. I'm not sure that there is any such legislation for electricity meters but with gas meters they shouldn't install a meter box or a meter in a compound unless the customer is given a key
