I was just talking to a friend on Skype and he went off to answer his phone. When he came back he said it was a call from Western Union saying someone had used his name and address to charge £42 to his card ending in 2698. He said he didnt have a card ending in those numbers.

They sounded familiar to me so i looked at my cards and i have one ending in those numbers. A few months ago i bought some stuff online using this card but had the stuff sent to my friends address.

So i rang up my CC company to check and they said someone had tried to use it 3 times. Once for £392 which was declined and 2 x £42 which were pending. They have now cancelled the card and will be sending me a new one.

It was really lucky i was on Skype at the time as i doubt my friend would have thought of mentioning it otherwise.
Errrr...come back later ;)
