Taking advantage of new customer discounts for home insurance

This probably can't be done but I'll it just in case I'm wrong.
I've currently got home contents insurance with More Than which is up for renewal. I've been with them for a year and took advantage of the cashback offered on Quidco when I took the policy out.
Now, my renewal is more than what I paid for this years premium which is all to do with the new customer introduction discount they had at the time. They won't budge on the renewal premium and other policies i've looked at are either too expensive or offer slightly less.
My question is, if I were to say that I don't want to renew and then sign up for a new policy via Quidco again to start on the renewal date, will they kick up a fuss?
I created a new quote online using the same info which was about £120 cheaper than my renewal.
If anybody has any experience then I'd appreciate some feedback. I just don't agree to existing customers being penalised especially in the current climate but then again it's the world we live in.
TIA
Pete

I don't know whether you will be able to get another commision via quidco, but you should certainly be able to tell them that you wish to cancel your policy at the next renewal date and then purchase your new insurance at the reduced price.
I've done this many times before and I'm fairly sure that I've done it with more than.0 -

They are unlikely to kick up a fuss, but you won't be able to should you not get any money back off Quidco.
It has this message on the morethan page:Please note that if you are already a MORE TH>N policy holder or have cancelled a MORE TH>N insurance policy you may not purchase a new / second policy through Quidco.
**Cashback is paid for new customers to More Th>n only**0
