Your computer was riddled with "Antivirus2008" one of the reasons you had the red shield in the bottom left of your screen.

Antivirus2008 is a VIRUS in it self you can get tools of the internet that will remove thus for you, as far as AVG 8.5 Free edition goes it is one of the best free antivirus programs out there.

I work in an IT support role for a huge company and deal with this antivirus 2008 and antivirus 2009 every day. try not to download it again

AVG is one of the worst antivirus out there, it just lets viruses walk in

I have used AVG antivirus free edtion for years now and never had a virus just walk in. lol

Pc pro do tests every year for the best antivirus and avg free edition always comes out best or equally best i do admint avast is a good antivirus program.

The bad thing about security on computers is that if someone is determind to get into your computer they will do it no matter what protection the user has.

Post the hijack but just change the LINKS slightly so it doesnt recognise them as links

AVG is absolutely awful ~ I wouldnt touch that with a bargepole these days. I dont care less WHOS said its good, ive had far too many people come on here with AVG problems.
