What files have been put in quarantine? (I could do with the FULL filepath of where they were taken from):idea:0
-
how would i go by doing that?0
-
Been a long while since ive had to put something into quarantine myself. But basically you should be able to open the 'quarantine chest' with avira which should tell you where the files were originally:idea:0
-
Is this any good to you?0
-
Yes. The bit im intersted in is the 'source' (for example - C:\users\Chris\app etc)
If you could 'expand' sources to show me everything it would help (usually you can get a 'left/right' arrow when you put the curser inbetween say sources and detection)
Fully expanding the avira page would help too
Either way -
Download and run the FREE version of DR WEB
http://www.freedrweb.com/download+cureit/gr/
Turn your anti virus OFF
Click CANCEL to the 'Would you like to read purchase terms now?' message
Click START click OK
It will auto QUICK scan
After that set to scan the WHOLE computer and press the 'play' icon
***DO NOT UPGRADE TO FULL VERSION***
If it finds anything then the txt log is uaully in one of these 2 places ~
C:\Program Files\DrWeb
C:\Users\username\DoctorWeb
Scroll to the bottom and post what and WHERE it found anything (As in the avira log above)
Then reboot and run another combofix scan as the one one here is far too old to use:idea:0 -
I'bve done the two Dr Web scans the second one took about 19 hours to do, but i can't find the log for it as I'm not sure where to look for it. Doing the comboFix now and will post that soon as it's done.0

Your username folder should have a folder called DoctorWeb. Log will be inside it.
You may want to search for the folder if you can't find it (search term: DoctorWeb)0 -
Right I've found What i think is the DrWebb Logfile the only thing is when ever i try opening it it makes my pc slow right down and sometimes crash so I've given up trying to open it as i always get trouble with it. My computer is really bad i can't get logged in normally as it does a system repair but then that damm blue crash sump thing pops up and the computer crashes. I'm on here now in Safe mode and i tried to open the Dr Webb logfile again but had the same problem with the computer feeling like it was going to crash so i closed the logfile.0
