Does anybody live around Harrow & Wealdstone

Am not sure where to post this thread! I am wondering if any of you lives in Harrow & Wealdstone and could tell me the areas to avoid when looking for property there? Thanks

Don't live in the area but know it well.

The surrondings are afflent areas very expensive Harrow\Harrow on the Hill, Stanmore parts of Kenton. Having said that harrow wealdstone is cheaper and around the hight street it's probably a little more rough & ready.

Further north you get some very nice big family houses alot cheaper then the other areas mentioned but then they're a little far from Transport.

Wow loulou, you're not still looking for a property for your daughter & son are you?

You must have seen quite an increase in prices from when you first started looking.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

Like with any area in London, some are really nice & some are really awful.

This street in Harrow is really gorgeous. You are looking at a 2 bedroom flat with parking for about £300k.

It's full of huge trees, near the station and very very quiet.

It would help if we knew what you're looking for and your budget?

Harrow is very busy in teh morning - if you are intending to drive, be prepared to sit in traffic.

The tube are generally very good. If your looking to move to harrow & Wealdstone then i'm presuming you need the Bakerloo line? If you could get to work on thwe Met line or teh Central Line then you could also look to properties in Ruislip/Hillingdon.

Harrow is more expensive the Ruislip (certain parts) but they are quite close together.

Can you get to work via car? the M40/A40 isn't too far, there are lots of "back roads" which can get you to the M4 - thus avoiding main road traffic.

Give me some more information - i.e., which station you get off at, are you lookiing for a flat or a house? do you need car parking?

 hi yes i like near the high street in harrow &w (near woolies), i need to get on the M25 (a40, m40, m4) so i am thinking its a mission getting there as everyone else will be using the A roads to central london etc?

even if i leave at 7am do u think i be in traffic? i have resigned to the fact on the way back home i be in traffic....

    Mortgage-free Glee!
Results from the 2001 population census showed that there were 206814 residents in Harrow living in 79112 households

I'm sure when you add in wealdstone the answer will be higher rather than lower!!
I hope that is at least a small help to the question posed in your title
    ;)
