£5 Morrisons Voucher

I filled up my car with other £30 worth of fuel the other day at the local Morrisons petrol station and they gave me a £5 off Morrisons shopping voucher.

This is a pretty good offer I thought seeing as I do my shopping there anyway and I need the fuel to get to work - probably worth a detour if you need fuel I'd say.

Anyway, hope you like my first ever money saving tip!

    "Morrisons Miles
With a Morrisons Miles Card* you can make your money go that little bit further by collecting points and earning a £5 shopping voucher.

Earn up to 15 Morrisons Miles* with every litre of fuel you purchase. Once you’ve collected 4995 miles on a single card, by purchasing 333 litres of fuel, we’ll give you a £5 shopping voucher to spend in-store.

There’s no waiting for the vouchers to be posted either, you just pick them up from the petrol station kiosk and spend them in any Morrisons store – it’s as simple as that.

So remember the more you fill up at Morrisons, the more you save."

It's a lot of petrol before you get the voucher.
    Looking forward to the future.

It is a lot of fuel, but here Morrisons are always 1p cheaper than the other local petrol stations, and I drive past them on my way to work. I think it's worth having a Miles card if you're going there anyway, but probably not worth making a detour just to get your points.

Having said that, 333 litres of fuel at Sainsburys would, I believe, get you 333 Nectar points, which are worth less than £5.

OP-did you just spend £30 then?! Was it a £5 voucher or one where you have to spend a certain amount? Need to fill up so just wondering if it's worth going to Morrisons?!

Well the man on the kiosk literally just said 'do you want a £5 voucher?' and I said yes! I did use a Morrisons Miles card but I must have only used it about 10 times, I have a Shell card I've been using for years and still havent managed to earn enough for a fiver!

Admittedly this was first thing in the morning on my way to work so I might not have been listening to the guy properly.

Maybe someone can help shed some light on my £5 voucher?!

It doesn't appear to have any minimum spend in the store to use it.

Actually, if my car takes 45 litres a fill, and you need 333 for the £5 voucher then thats only 7.4 visits to Morrisons petrol station before I earn a £5 voucher.

Perhaps it was my Morrisons Miles card that did it but thats pretty good going for a petrol station loyalty card. I remember waiting for what seemed forever for my Dad to earn enough Esso points to get one of those Tiger T-Shirts!!

Although it's not my main shopping place, the petrol station is handy as it's the only one between the flat and work which is about 25miles away. I don't use it all the time and only use it for emergencies and have only managed to 1 £5 voucher. they're quite good as well because they don't have a use-by date on them.

My brother drives a lot on business and although his company pays for the fuel he always makes sure he goes to Morrisons to fill up as he then gets the £5 vouchers as an extra bonus!
