Have been on the look out for part time work in the evening and weekends and got a job deliverying pizzas for a very well known company on minimum wage but with 80p per delivery.
My first night last night was "training" and they told me in advance wouldnt be getting paid for 2 days of "training".
"training" was getting my uniform and a 2 minute show on how deliveries are shown on screen and then i was given my first job.
Finished after 3 hours, said they wouldnt keep me there longer than that as i wasn't being paid, having made 5 deliveries (£4) and with tips totally just over £10. So i was well pleased with that, have never thought to tip a driver myself unless it is rounding up the amount to the closest pound.
got my 2nd night of "training" tonight so hopefully when i am actually getting paid and do a full busy friday/saturday night i could actually earn quite a bit on tips

Can I just ask, do they provide a car or are you using your own?0

Looking at doing this to earn some extra cash. Do you have to do anything with your car insurance if you use your own car?Set your goals high, and don't stop till you get there.

Yes, you will have to get business use added to your insurance. Can't remember what class, I know it's Class 1 business use for going to different sites, but not sure if you need a higher class for carrying products. I think you do - best to check with your insurance company.0

I know someone who delivered chinese takeaways. She did it two nights a week and got a free chinese thrown in. She was so fed up with chinese - after about two weeks - that she would go to the Indian... she was too tired to cook after working the evening. I was puzzled. It would take me about two years to get the teeniest bit fed up with chinese... or pizza!!!0
