Npower announce ANOTHER price rise
Options
ONE of Britain's biggest power suppliers is set to push up prices - adding more than £100 a year on to average bills.
Nearly six million people will be hit by NPower's second rise this year.
The Mirror has learned the firm will announce gas prices will increase by 15 per cent and electricity by 13.4 per cent. It follows similar rises by British Gas and Powergen.
NPower, part of German firm RWE, had already increased bills from January 1, blaming rises in wholesale gas costs. Gas went up by 14.5 per cent and electricity by 13.6 per cent.
The firm is also believed to be planning a TV campaign offering people £40 to join the firm. Staff will also be told to offer it as an incentive to angry customers threatening to leave over the price rises.
NPower insisted it had not announced any other price rises since January.

Age Concern slammed the move, saying: "Many pensioners live on low fixed incomes so extra costs are a big worry."
