SportsWorld\Sports Direct - not my best shopping experience!

I went into Sportsworld this morning to buy my son a football shirt.

Picked up a 11-12 age (30-32 chest) - looked a bit small, but the next age up was age 13 with a huge 34-36 chest which was a good 5-6 inches longer as well.

Another woman was next to me, also bemused by the sizing leap. We were talking about it and I said I'd go and ask a member of staff if there was an in-between size. She said "Don't bother, the staff are next to useless.." - at the same time another shopper was walking away from the customer services desk shouting rather angrily "Customer services means HELPING the customer, not what you lot do, is it?!!"

Anyway, I ventured up to customer services (as there were no staff on the floor) to be told that was the sizing it comes in, and there isn't a 32-34 chest.

I went to put the top back and had another quick look and lo and behold, there was the same top, age 13 with a 32-34 chest! (seems age 13 comes in either 32-34 or 34-36 )- they were mixed on two different rails all with the age 13 block on the hanger.

Not my best shopping experience and it does put me off going there again.

Oh, by the way, the age 13 (34-36 chest) is exactly the same size as the adults small size yet the age 13 was £20 and the adults small was £25! so if you are looking for an adults small Chelsea top, get the age 13 and save yourself a fiver!

Personally, I would avoid the Chelsea top altogether. I prefer Andrex, as it is much smoother and cheaper :D

    LOL.. agreed!!

However with Sportsworld, its a case of you get what you pay for I think. I've bought plenty from there but never expect anything great from the staff. Our local store closes at 7pm according to their website and when I got there at half six the other day the automatic doors were only letting people out.. half an hour before closing?! Three staff members playing football on the stairs were obviously busy! They've lost £100 as a result cos a colleague has subsequently leant me what I was gonna buy.. bonus!
