suggestions on how I should save and with who?

I am trying to have a look at how and who to save with, both me and my mum reach big birthdays about a 2 years from now, I want to save £50 per month over 2 years to pay for a big special holiday.

Can anyone suggest (to someone who has never saved anything) what would be best?

a regular saving account is a reasonable option. plus rates arent too bad.

try moneyfacts.co.uk or moneysupermarket for comparisons

off top of head barclays and abbey were the rate leaders last time I checked.
