SB Online trading and Merchant ID's

I am looking for any advise that people may offer in regard to which banks offer the easiest and competitive Merchant ID's for small business banking inorder to trade online - most recently HSBC requested a £250k deposite to produce a merchant id required to take monies online as they deemed the risk (sport event tickets with no risk) something that they could not deliver without this deposite held by them - clearly no small business could raise this cash to trade hence if anyone has a better experience keen to hear and possibly change banks ..

why not set up a website and accept paypal?0

only thing with paypal is you will lose money as they tend to take a small % off the total - use paypal and charge your clients the addition % that will be taken off - I think this is usually around 2% of the value, I could be wrong but worth looking into!Life is what you make it.0
