milk at asda stores

saw in todays daily paper,asda has brought down prices of milk,ie 4 pint carton £1 instead of £1.16,and other sizes reduced aswell,good bargain dont know if its for a limited time!

Just read on the news that other major supermarkets are bringing down prices to match as well. Great news for the consumer but somehow I feel that to achieve these prices they are going to squeeze their suppliers rather than reduce the massive profits they generate.0

The adverts ASDA had in today's papers said they would be paying he farmers more. I'd be surprised if they made a claim like that in the papers and didn't keep to it...0

Yes, that is the bit that interested me, however if the other stores are bringing their prices down then will they be treating the farmers the same.
I remember recently that Asda were singled out for their treatment to the farmers, maybe this is them being nice.
Kinda makes me worry though how they can get milk to be so cheap, are there just loads of cows or are they giving them some kind of hormone to make them produce more ???My Shop Is Your Shop0 -
farmstores are even cheaper for their mil 2 x 4pt cartons for £1.50, been like that for ages.0

Iceland have been selling at this price for ages.
Was in Tesco yesterday and they are also selling 4 pint at a £1.

i shop at asda could be for short while they having a few pound promotions lately i usually stock up but you cant with milk
branston beans 4 for pound
heinze soup 4 tomatoe for pound that finished
2 weeks ago hienze chicken soup
there tins come in packs 4 different each week all top brands if u r near a store its worth popping in0 -

in our local asda they have cravendale for 98p,forget how much it usually is,over £1.20 i think.don't know if its nationwide,though0

co op have just put theres up from £1.14 to £1.15 for 2 litres of skimmed.£2 coin savers club = £2880
