  • Hi Does anyone know when the boot sale in Gelli Gaer finishes, hoping to do one this weekend.

    Thanks
  • Went to Bessemer road boot sale yesterday and it was awful!!!
So messy, jam-packed (even though all the sellers were just standing there with hardly anything selling) it was beyond messy...the stuff was dirty and pricing was tooooo high!

If your planning on going to a boot sale this winter I would avoid Cardiff city and try the welsh valleys or Swansea city...lots of people have rated those! I think there's 5 boot sales in Swansea!!

    Hope this helps :)

Since the weather cannot be guaranteed, can anyone tell me if there are any indoor car boots on saturdays and sundays in carmarthen, llanelli or swansea? Any response would be great- you all seem to know your stuff!

I did see something last Sunday passing the multi storey in Llanelli.
There was a notice outside before you go up the ramp to the car park.
This was at 10.30am .Sorry but didnt notice what time it was on.
    Hope this helps.
  • Does anyone know where the Bob Jude Sunday boot sale in Cwmbran has moved to please?? Used to be by Somerfield.
  • Best car boot sale (for selling stuff) in Newport/Gwent area?
  • Have done the Sully boot sale for the past 2 weeks and have taken £240 :)
It costs £6 for your car and you need to be there between 7 and 7 30 for a good spot.
Not sure if we are going to do it in the morning or try out the Gelligaer one.
  • Does anyone know if the Sully car boot sale continues after the summer?

The last one for Sully is next week, funky (13th Sep). I went there today. I've been many times this year and it's always been great. But not today. Today I bought a book for 50p from a 'well-spoken' woman, and accidentally dropped a folded £20 note on her stall. She snatched it like lightening, thinking I hadn't seen it. I hedged politely about something she might have picked up that I had dropped, but she just denied it. I then said I was sure I saw it, but still nothing. Of course there was nothing I could do (there were no witnesses, but I did tell a steward, who kindly tried to help), but I felt terrible. I went back to say I had taken her reg. and would report it (if only to give her a sleepless night!). I've always found car booters to be a friendly and decent lot, but it just goes to show you have to be careful! Sorry for the long post, but it makes me feel a bit better!
