Advice please

Hi everyone

Just got a small query. I sold an item (CD) on the 11th April and have sent a couple of reminder invoices and pleasant emails asking to be paid. On the 20th April I opened a case but I still havent heard anything. What is the next step, do Ebay/Paypal do anything to help? Thank you

Next time when you sell stuff let them pay first before sending off the item. They can easy say got lost in the post unless you have proff. I would open up a dispute right away.

 Where does OP say they have sent the item already

OP, If you have opened a full dispute it will show in the your dispute centre when you log in. 8 days after opening the dispute you can close it and reclaim your FVFs and the buyer gets a strike.

When I click on View Case I can see the item in question (the resolution centre) Is this the same thing as the Dispute Centre? So am I understanding this right, the best I get is my fees back that is if they still dont pay. Ebay dont actually contact the person themselves? Sorry if Im sounding ignorant. Thank you.

Resolution centre is the same as the old dispute centre, sorry! I have been on ebay so long I can't keep up with the way they keep changing the names and places of things.

When you opened the dispute it would have given you a choice of disputes and I am assuming you opened th eone about buyer has not paid for the item. IN that case ebay will have sent a message to the buyer , almost like another invoice asking them to pay. YOu need to do nothing more now until the 8th day after opening the dispute. If you look at your resolution centre it should say something like :
1 case is still open 1case awaits other members' responses

And by the case it should say:

    Awaiting buyer's action.

Wait until the 8th day and then you need to close the dispute but choose the option that you want to reclaim your FVFs and to give the buyer a strike.

meanwhile add the buyer to your blocked buyers list.

Yes it does say 1 case is still open and awaiting response, so I have blocked this bidder and will wait for 8 days. Thanks a lot for your help.

If buyer contacts you or pays within those 8 days come back and repost as someone here will advise you how best to proceed.
