Can anyone tell me what acually counts as " income " for EMA purposes
I have looked on EMA site and cannot find what acually counts only the threshold amounts.

In 2008/9 the EMA application form asked for the "total household income" figure from your tax credit award notification, and that was the figure they went on.
If you don't have that figure, they ask for your pay as an employee, plus benefits in kind, or your total taxable income from self-employment. They also want to know what you earn annually from bank interest, income from property, trusts, foreign income and pensions.
I haven't read the notes and guidelines in any detail, but that's what was asked for on the application form for this current year. 2009/10 applications may be different.
Hope this helps.0
