we are awaiting our maximum purchase price offer from moat. apparently should be here in 2 weeks...allegedly! they have told us via email:
Once your offer letter has arrived and your offer on the property accepted documents will need to go to Moat to approve your purchase and reserve your funding. Once Moat issue a property reservation form then you can start to get your mortgage arranged.
so, does this mean once we get this maximum purchase price our next step is to find a property and make an offer? should we try and do this asap as I have read funding runs out early? when is funding actually secured - once we have the property approved? does this mean the sellers have to wait around wondering if we'll be able to buy their house as we haven't been "approved" yet? sorry, very confused! We have found a property we like, but don't know what offer to make as don't know maximum purchase price, so can't do anything til we get our max purchase price. ARGH! I'm really worried after reading on here that there simply won't be any funding left - we'd be looking to move in august ish time - anyone know if there are likely to be funds then?
also, a separate but dumb question re mortgages, we are moving areas and thus jobs, i assume a letter from a new employer stating salary etc will be ok, as obviously while we have payslips, they are from the jobs we'll be leaving.
thanks so much for your help!
