Sky TV without BT line

I currently have no BT line or telephone line in my house, I understand that you need a telephone line for sky. Spoke to BT and it is going to be £120 plus £10 a month just for the installation which seems a lot of money just to use sky.

Does anyone know of a way around this? We can't get cable round our way, but do sky offer some kind of deal where if I get broadband and tv plus phone from them I don't need a BT telephone line?

Cheers for any help

To get BB you either need a phone line or cable,no way round it. Check out https://www.samknows.com to see what ADSL providers are in residence at your local exchange.

How do you plan on getting phone and broadband without a phone line?

On a more realistic note if you speak to sky and explain to them you are interested in there broadband but only if they pay for your line installation then once you get ur line activated with bt sky will credit you the cost.
  • I had Sky install a line (my other line is a business line) for my house and they did it for free if I kept Sky for 12 months

Didn't deal with BT or get the line through BT. No contract with BT - only SKY.

The SKY package includes £10 per month for line rental
    baldly going on...

Hi, If you're not worried about the sport or movies from Sky have a look at Freesat, I don't think you need a phone line. You do pay for the equipment and installation but you don't have any monthly subscription to pay ever! you also get HD channels including ITV HD, might be good if you have HD tele.
