Most insurance companies will still ask for any motoring convictions (Including an SP30) up to 5 years after the incident. As others have said, they dont count for totting up after 3 years, but insurance companies may well use them to assess how much of a 'risk' you are....

As alot of people have at least one SP30 these days, I think alot of insurance companies turn a blind eye to them. Not every company though obviously.

Thanks for all the help guys, my mind is at rest a bit more now- OH said i might get 6 points for it.

My mid years resolution is to always keep one eye on the road, the other on the speedometre :rotfl:

Remember if you're in a 40mph limit there will be (most likely) reminder signs. A 30 won't have reminders

One small point, you can't just send your licence in after 4 years and ask for a new one without the offence shown, you only get free replacements if your factual details have changed like your name or address. You have to pay the fee to get a replacement otherwise.

This man thanks you very much for your £60. He's currently brushing up on something that he'll be doing very soon.
