Paypal chargeback advice please

Hello
I sold an item on 13th April was paid immediately with paypal dispatched the next day and the buyer left positive feedback on 15th saying very happy and item received safely.
Then today i had an email from paypal saying money from this transaction has been put on hold pending paypal investigations.
I phoned paypal and they said there had been a chargeback for this amount and providing I could fax a proof of postage I would be covered to reclaim with paypals seller protection.
I no longer have the proof of posting as naively I disposed of it once I had pos feedback from the buyer.
So now it seems I am to be out of pocket even though the buyer happily acknowledges safe reciept and was happy with the product. Dont know why there was a chargeback paypal wouldnt tell me.
Is there any more I can do?
Any advice will be welcome

Proof of posting won't be of much use, as if the buyer is opening an "item not received" dispute, you'd need a tracking number.
Proof of postage would only get you a refund from the post office for up to £36.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

I'm assuming this was a claim for fraudulent use as that is covered by a proof of posting.
OP there is nothing you can do unfortunately if you can no longer prove posting, it might be worth a call to paypal, but I think it will be a struggle to convince them to let this one by.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. My advice would be to contact the seller through ebay and ask why this has happened, some times this happens to me and in some instances the buyer used an old card or bank account and the bank have reversed it. If you get no reply request their contact details and phone them. always remember to be polite and if you get no reply still send them another mail saying that if you do not get payment in 5 working days then you will file a claim with money claim on line, the fact that they left positive feedback tells me that this could be an honest mistake.
Good luck0 -

I hope you are right (for the sake of the seller) but I had a buyer who left feedback to say she received her item, very happy etc. then I got a chargeback, I emailed her several times & no reply. She had done the same to about 10 people at the same time. I stupidly didnt send the items by recorded delivery so despite a prof of postage & her feedback paypal took the money.
I send everything by recorded now."I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again."
