Price of a conservatory?

Hi there!
Starting to get the ball rolling now with our home improvements.
We have a company coming to give us a "no obligation" quote for a conservatory later this week.
Our house is semi detatched and ideally would like a high wall on one side (between our neighbours) with small windows at the top and the remaining two sides with dwarf walls. We would like the high wall and house wall plastered, have a couple of electrical points and maybe a radiator (not too sure about this though, would an electric heater be sufficient?)
There are two windows and a door at the back, with the kitchen waste pipe running down the wall. What will happen to this pipe?
Looking at a length of approximately 5m, and a depth 2.5m.
Can anyone give an idea of what price we may be looking at? We certainly won't be pushed into anything as we intend to get a few quotes but would like some kind of idea of what price to expect or any obsticals that we come across.
Many thanks................

Depends on where you are located but £1000 per m2 is a decent estimate so don't expect much change from £12500.0

Obviously there are a lot of details of a conservatory that can change the price - the roof design and material, how many doors/opening windows, spec of glass, quality of product, ground to be built on
But i would say you'll get that done for £9000.
As for the waste pipe, if this can't easily be moved, it can be sealed and boxed in.0 -
Wow. Is that how much they have gone up to? LOL. Some companies were quoting only £6k for a decent size conservatory.
Just as a guidline. Conservatories only add approx maximum 10% on house price. <apparently>Motto: 'If you don't ask, you don't get!!'

Thanks for this, but we're not too bothered about the return (or lack of). We just want a nice home that we are comfortable with and is just how we want it but without making mistakes (had plenty of these in the past).
We don't want to be ripped off and needed a guide on how much to expect to pay out.0 -
How can they charge something per m2 if the inside has nothing?0

Get quotes, not estimates from at least three firms. Make sure that they are for exactly the same specification.Try the local companies in preference to the big nationals. Any figure mentioned on here can only be speculative. As markie1980 says, all sorts of things can affect the price quoted. These things can only be decided by the person having a thorough look at the site. Keep away from anyone who says "If you sign up now, I will give you a discount."I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -

I would definately concur with the above. In my last house I had double glazing throughout. A large wellknown national company (including their 40% discount sale!!!!!!!!!!!!) wanted 4X(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) what I eventually paid to a small local company and they weren't cr4p either - they were sliding/tilting conservation grade UPVC sash windows!

Thanks for this advice, we do intend to get 3 or 4 quotes from different companies. We will not sign anything there and then as we like to check everything in detail and "ponder" our options.0
