It all sounds like perfectly normal behaviour from an intelligent pup who hasn't been taught what is expected and has been rewarded (all be in not on purpose) for the 'wrong' things, when those things are very normal dog behaviour.

I think you need help and advise to get things back on the straight and narrow. More mental stimulation (I bet he's fed from a food bowl right?) and training rather than long walks.

I agree. He's a puppy - and not wanting to sound rude - what did you expect? Unfortunately they don't come ready-trained. Puppies are like children and need ground rules and to learn boundaries. I have 2 dogs myself and as competent as i feel with dogs, I don't think I could take on a puppy because they need attention and stimulation with daily training.

I can sympathise with your garden being wrecked.
My garden was full of lovely plants and bushes but these have all been shredded by Bella our springer.
We're gonna just grass it all over now.
    :D
