my freind is trying to unblock her lg mobile phone she took to shop and they said 40 pounds . so i said i will ask here for any tips on doing it free thanks in advance

    Depends on the model. Google for "model number here +unlock" and see what prices people are saying.

    edit: unlock or unblock? If it's unblock like you're saying, as in the networks have blocked its imei because it's been reported stolen or whatever, then nobody can LEGALLY unblock it.

    if its unblocking a stolen phone, then its highly illegal.

    if its unlocking a phone, the we would need the model number to start pointing you in the right direction as LG make a variety of phones

    £25 looks about the going rate online, but I'd pay the extra £15 at a shop since you wouldn't have to post it off to god knows who, and you'd get it done while you wait.

    Best to shop around, indoor markets and stuff. Not sure what it's like down there, but in the parts of town where there's a high asian population, there are quite a few phone shops that do unlocking.

    i think james_73 on here runs a mobile unlocking site/service, but i'm not sure how much they charge
