Old racs account?

I am just in the process of sorting out probate for my mother.
I have received the Grant of Probate and have put everything in order with the exception of an old RACS (Royal Arsenal Cooperative Society Limited) Share Account Book.
We are not even talking hundreds shown in the account book but would like to put a line under everything for her.
Does anyone know what became of the RACS.I can recall them from childhood and the last entry in the pas book is from 1975.
I know they no longer exist as the RACS but were they absorbed/taken over by another outfit?
Any polite suggestions where to start.?

I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0

Cheers for that, I had read the Wiki for RACS before your post but am still unclear what/who RACS might be a part of now.
I have tried calling the COOP with no success.0 -
It was definitely merged into the Co-op:
