    I'd have the Starlet too, but don't think that parts would be any cheaper than the Peugeot - they haven't been in my experience (wife's had one for 9 years - alternator is over £200 without the labour for example).

    On the face of it, the Ka sounds good too. Slightly unrefined, but it's cheap on parts and fairly good to drive.
