Tenants notice to quit

Hi, I need a template of a NTQ to end my tenancy. I'm on a peridoic tenancy and need to give one months notice, is this just a case of putting things in writing or is there a specific format I need to put the letter in?

    No special format required. Just a dated letter saying you hereby give one months notice.

    And don't forget that the notice should end on the day before the tenancy date.
